Sierra Foothill Musicians consists of musicians and helpers from the foothill area south of Yosemite National Park. We plan to play several concerts a year.
In June we played our first concert, at a church in Oakhurst, CA. Two pianists, a singer, a cellist, a flutist, and a clarinetist performed music by Scarlatti, Kuri-Aldana, Pierné, Schumann, Schubert, Fauré, Dvorak, Saint-Saens, and Barbara Ulman.
My art songs Evening Dress and January Morning were on the program.
An audience member invited us to repeat the program in Clovis, CA (next to Fresno) on August 26 at 3 PM. We are pleased that our first concert was so well received!
